Jeff Horvath, Managing Director
Jeff is a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), International Certified Valuation Specialist (ICVS), and a
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)/Chartered Accountant (CA), with 10-years of experience in
the areas of business valuation, personal injury claims, damage quantification, matrimonial matters,
purchase price allocation and due diligence. He holds an Honours in Business Administration
Diploma in with a specialization in Accounting from the Wilfrid Laurier University.
Jeff has advised and prepared reports for clients, including both private and public companies, in
connection with shareholder and partnership disputes, family law matters, arbitrations, mediations,
fraud investigations and financial forensic analysis, initial public offerings and fairness opinions,
mergers and acquisitions, reverse take-overs, corporate reorganizations, intangible asset valuations
including software, bankruptcy, solvency opinions, tax and estate planning, performance improvement
and re-engineering and other financial consulting, ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plan),
appraisal and oppression remedies, loss of income claims, insurance claims, business interruption
litigation, and personal injury litigation.
Prior to joining ValuQuest, Jeff was a senior manager at a big four accounting firm in the private
company valuation and litigation group.

Valued over 500 companies, covering a wide range of industries, including: technology and
telecommunications; manufacturing; forestry; food processing; professional practices; insurance;
mining; real estate holding companies; and numerous others.
